Finale - BBBC 2010 #6

I cannot believe this is over!

Oh and that I actually was able to complete the whole thing! Some people want to continue going either because they started late or because they want more than just 6 days *cough* Marnix. lol

The last topic for this year's challenge that applies to me is:
If you're a veteran.... Did you find this year to be harder or easier than previous years? Did you have fun? What did you get out of it this time around? Do you think you'd do it again?

For me it was not harder because to me the challenge itself doesn't seem very difficult. Maybe because I like challenges lol. What I got from the experience this time around was the will to blog more often, and it finally sunk in that I don't need to always have elaborate creative posts just write. Of course I will do it again for as long as I can. It's a wonderful challenge and so worth doing. It's even given me inspiration to start up some blog challenges myself so stay tuned for that.

Thank you Alicia for creating this challenge and keeping it interesting. Thanks to all the bloggers for participating and giving people something awesome to read. xoxox

I Was Just Thinking - BBBC 2010 #5

That this blogger challenge rocks!

Today's topic is pretty easy. Just write whatever is on your mind. I have too many things on my mind lol but I decided to write about one that will appeal to all or at least most people.

SL decorating! I have always loved decorating and watching design shows etc... I grew up in a home where my mom was continually moving furniture around and sprucing things up with new coats of paint.

Now in SL if you have some land or even rent a home you can have so much fun decorating. There are tons of great stores in world that have furniture, decor/accessories, and of course prefabs aka houses or skyboxes.

My all time fave places right now are Molto Bene, The Loft, Lalicious Designs, What Next and so many more but my brain can't think of them all right now. What's great is the low prims, great quality and great prices of each item. From small homes to large ones, from family oriented to couples stuff you name it they have it!

One of my fave feeds to look at it is http://hgslfeed.com/ because a lot of my fave creators post there and also you get to see a range of different items and events going on in the decorating part of the virtual universe. Anyways enjoy the feed, they have a flickr group too where you can find out about great stuff through pics posted. Now go decorate :)

Age is Just A Number - BBBC 2010 #4

BBBC Sign Up Post - It's never too late to join! Just blog for 1 week!

I am so excited to be a part of this challenge & to actually be able to keep up! The topics are always awesome & interesting too! I love reading what others post as well.

Now for today's topic - Is your avatar more or less your current biological age? Do you portray a younger avatar, or older? Why is this?

Avatar's don't really age I mean unless you are role playing them to do so. I basically consider my avatar to be my age because she is me, just a virtual version. I grew up very fast mentally & even at age 4 felt like an adult. My life experiences have taken me into the role of a grown up for my entire life. I seem older then 22, I look younger (due to my illness) and I feel 100! lol

I don't role play being older or younger. No really specific reason just being myself. I never really knew about role playing ages when I joined SL but once I learned of it, it just didn't seem to be my thing. I know people that do, & they do it really well!

I always say "You are as old as you feel". Age is just a number. You can have two people of the same age but they can act completely different.

So basically my avatar is in her twenties but sometimes feels 100!

It's A Mess - BBBC 2010 #3

Today's BBBC topic didn't really pertain to me, but that's ok I have another topic!

Something that comes up every once in awhile is the size of your inventory. Usually people have pretty high numbers (24K, 30K, 70K etc) then there are those that are smaller like less than 10,000. Some people have never cleaned their inventories ever, which is most likely the cause of the high count in items lol

I on the other hand am sort of an organizer freak. I don't like clutter at all. My inventory is organized into categories, sub-categories that are all tucked into great folders. I will even rename folders & items if the name is something that won't be easy to search later on.

It get's even worse if you belong to groups for bloggers or just groups in general. Notecards, Landmarks, Objects - those three are what I call the problem folders lol they are hard to keep organized! It makes me laugh cleaning my invie and seeing things that are outdated & thinking "when did I ever think this was cute ?".

I should go organize now! You should too lol

The Finer Things in Life - BBBC 2010 #2

Today is Day 2 of the Big Bad Blogger Challenge 2010!

The weekend was filled with good times and bad, but today starts a new week. Let's hope it's filled with tons of awesomeness!

A lot of times we vent about the things that trouble us, make us sad, frustrate & anger us, basically all the negative crap. I myself since I was little have always had a tough time but I got through it by being positive and hopeful. Being disabled, those 2 things can get you through a ton! So in keeping with today's question for the challenge I am going to list 3 positive things going on in my SL.

1. I have great friends that are there for me and truly do care about me. We can take pictures, sit & stare, build for fun, vent about things or just sit and chat! I even have a twin (personality wise) who adopted a little child av, so I am an aunty too!

2. I have a place to call home, it is my calming place. It is surrounded by other beautiful parts of the island where my friends have decorated their homes.

3. I can sit there not really thinking of anything and all of a sudden ideas just come to me. I have always been creative, a total ideas kinda girl but it happens a lot in SL. I can decorate in so many ways, & sometimes get to help content creators with my ideas. Its a wonderful feeling.

Every once in awhile take a moment to think of a positive thing going on. Be it in RL or SL, among all the crap we go through there is always something good. Someone out there will always be worse off than you are sadly, so let's be thankful for what we have. <3

Written Like A True Blog Post - BBBC 2010

So I totally took my title from the saying "spoken like a true poet"

Today launched another year of the Big Bad Blogger Challenge. Alicia Chenaux started this in 2008 as a way to give SL bloggers a little kick start, and give people something to read. Since then it's grown to be a big fun event. Learn more about it in Alicia's kick off post.

Today's question given to us if we so choose to use, is Why did you become a blogger ? How has it enriched your life ?

I have always loved writing since I was a kid. I learned to read and write even before starting kindergarten. Writing can be so fun. You can release your inner thoughts, create stories of your imagination, and even vent about things bothering you. The reason I chose to blog in RL was to update friends & family, and also as sort of a journal. My reason to blog in SL is because of the same reason and also to just let lose and write about my adventures in SLife.

It has enriched my life by bringing me closer to friends and family in both lives. In SL it has also helped me to improve on another great thing I love, photography.

Anyways hope you decide to join us, either by reading or signing up by clicking the link above. I am very excited to be a part of this for a 2nd year and hope that unlike last time, I get to finish the full week! <3
